Community Organizing Master Class (Closed Circle)

Activism requires many highly-refined skills. In our master class we give you a firm foundation to begin organizing in your community. (Scholarships available for people of marginalized intersectionalities). Apply to participate at the link.

Community Organizer Support Group (Closed Circle)

Activism costs community organizers a lot of time, energy, and money. Why recreate the wheel? We hold Zoom meetings to discuss our current challenges, successes, and what we are learning. Apply to participate at the link.

“Accidental Activist” Mentorship (Closed Circle)

Most people are forced into activism by being faced with oppression. We provide ongoing resources and support to folks who have been told by their municipality (or the County) that their sustainability lifestyle is a “nuisance.”

Rapid Response Alert System

Sometimes policies are proposed by municipal staff and are then rapidly adopted by elected officials with little-to-no community consideration for sustainability implications. By having an infrastructure in place to rapidly put out a call for community engagement, we can ensure that sustainability is prioritized in our communities. (Join our Discord Forum for Rapid Response Alerts).

Bioregional Sustainability Plan

Our present political boundaries are arbitrary and do not honor ecological realities. By developing a Des Plaines Watershed Sustainability Plan, we can tackle the problems our communities face in a cohesive, top-down way.

Midwest Sustainability Code

Modeled off of the International Building Code, our DuPagers Organized For Sustainability (DOFS) volunteers are researching, developing, and open-sourcing ordinance templates for sustainable policy reform in the Midwest.
